Breakfast Skillet


Breakfast Skillet is a 3D prop I modeled in Maya and rendered in Unity. The prop is inspired by Betty Jiang’s animated illustration (on the right) and the presentation (below) is inspired by Okayama GoGo Gourmet Corps food illustrations.

I worked to make the topology as clean and simple as possible. I digitally painted the textures in Photoshop and then applied them in Unity.

Midway through the project I decided to fit this prop into the world of Baby Foot Diner, a restaurant management game where you play as a busboy clearing tables. It made the most sense to make the prop a dish on the Baby Foot Diner menu.

This was a fun and simple project that gave me a boost in my modeling and texturing skills, as well as confidence in myself to finish things, stick the landing with the final presentation, and post to social media.
